Mrs. Gillard Randolph has been recognized by community leaders and governmental officials for her commitment to serving the community and its senior population. She received many awards, citations, certificates and letters of appreciation. The Salvation Army honored Ms. Randolph for “Bridging the Gap and for Exemplary Role Models.” In April 2019, Mrs. Randolph was awarded the National Sojourner Truth Meritorious Service Award, the highest honor bestowed upon a woman who “epitomizes the life of our National Matriarch, Sojourner Truth” by The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. who, in April of the previous year awarded Mrs. Randolph with their Visionary Award.In February 2019, Mrs. Randolph received aProclamation from New York State Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner for “her extraordinary work on behalf of the Families of the Bronx.”
In October 2018, Mr. Rudolph Coombs, President of the National Alliance of Postal and Federal Employees Local 813 presented Ms. Randolph with an award in recognition of her “outstanding and dedicated service to this community and to humanity.”In March 2018,she waspresented with the “Commitment, Dedication, and Excellence Award” at The Bronx Times Reporters’ Seventh Annual “25 Bronx Influential Women” Gala of which she was one of the 25 esteemed honorees.In May 2016, New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer’soffice presented Mrs. Randolph with the City of New York Office of Comptroller Commendation.In May 2015, Councilwoman Vanessa L. Gibson presentedMrs. Randolphwith a City Citation Award. In 2014, Mrs. Randolph was presented with an award from Julian McDavid, President of the NAACP Williamsbridge Branch. In 2010, State Committeewoman Theresa Freeman presented Mrs. Randolph with the Key to Harlem for her outstanding work. Congressman Charlie Rangel, through letters and public acknowledgements, extolled the importance of the work Mrs. Gillard-Randolph is doing with seniors, stating that “. . . it is imperative.”
Richard Knowles, President of “People Who Have Fun Put God First” awarded Mrs. Gillard-Randolph with a Certificate of Appreciation for “having the passion to form an organization that serves and acknowledges grandparents for the role they have played in their families, in their communities and in organizations.”
On April 29, 2005, State Senator Jeffrey Klein proclaimed April 29, 2005 as “Evern Gillard-Randolph Day.”
In 2004, Mrs. Randolph wrote the theatrical play with music entitled “Dinner At Grandma’s”. She wrote the songs, ”In the Spirit,” “God On My Mind,” “Gonna Run Y’all,” “That Ole Train”and “Just Hold On.” The theater production of Dinner at Grandma’s ran throughout the tri-state area and received rave reviews.
